About the Role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our team. You will be exposed to many aspects of

Blumberg Capital and have direct interaction with our partners and team. As a data analyst,

you will support the firm’s initiatives with a variety of financial and data analysis for the

portfolio companies and the funds. This role is data-intensive; the ideal candidate

should be very comfortable and enjoy working with large sets of data, be a self-starter, and

work independently with minimal supervision.

Core Responsibilities

Prepare, manage, and optimize the data collection process for all portfolio companies
Extract and analyze financial and operational data from portfolio company financial
(P&L, BS, and CF), operating metric spreadsheets, and other data sets -
discrepancies and highlight any notable issues
Manage and maintain portfolio dashboard, analyses, and reporting templates using
of automated and manual processes supported by investment team
Review and organize historical investment data to provide insights and trends
Develop AI tools with new analyses and visualizations using the firm’s and industry data for ad‐hoc requests from the team
Manage projects to deliver data-driven sourcing results of new investment opportunities based on the firm’s sector, stage, and performance history, along with industry trends
Participate in investment team meetings to capture decisions and action items, manage data, and track execution in CRM and dashboard
Become an expert of the firm’s data systems; implement automation of processes and external data acquisition
Drive unique insights into the portfolio companies’ and funds’ performance relative to benchmarks

Experience and Required Qualities/Attributes

Bachelor degree or equivalent with emphasis in finance, accounting, and/or statistics
3 years of relevant experience in data, research, financial and systems analysis, ideally in venture capital, private equity or investment banking
Deep knowledge of data and process management tools: spreadsheets, CRM, advanced
productivity applications and automation tools; UI experience/interest and knowledge of Python a plus
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meeting deadlines
Unwavering focus and desire to complete assigned tasks and projects
Strong aptitude for numbers and accuracy with keen attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills to connect effectively with all levels
Resourceful with a can-do positive attitude and excellent work ethic
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with perseverance, discretion, and tact

Actual starting base salary will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other

non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include carried

interests, bonuses, and benefits, as outlined in any formal offer made. We also offer
