At present, our team is diving into a new project involving the complete overhaul and redesign of an existing product. This undertaking involves crafting services from the ground up, managing billions of events, and seamlessly integrating Big Data, Data Science, Spark, Scala, and Java services.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent

• 3+ years of data engineering experience using Scala and Spark

• 1+ years of Java experience

• Experience with Pipelines/ETLs/Hadoop/Spark/Kafka/Streaming systems

• Familiarity with SQL & NoSQL DBs

• Proficiency in optimizing performance and handling high-scale systems

• Familiarity with Kubernetes (advantageous)

• Experience with Gitlab, Grafana, InfluxDb, Kibana (advantageous)

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities:

• End-to-end development and ownership, from design to production

• Leadership and mentorship of developers through complex projects impacting core business operations

• Implementation of high-scale Big-Data solutions and contributions to platform infrastructure and architecture

• Research on core technologies and integration with external APIs and services

• Collaboration with various stakeholders including Product, Engineering, and Data providers

• Participation in off-hours Pager Duty with additional compensation
