We are helping our client find an experienced research/technical writer with the ability to analyze and synthesize trends in emerging sectors. This includes climate and frontier technologies, such as AI, mobility, autonomy, robotics, materials, energy storage/batteries, hydrogen solutions, and other areas.
As a Technical Writer, you will:
- Conduct research, interviews, and data analyses on a range of emerging technology sectors.
- Partner with investment team to gain insights and understand their perspectives on the current startup landscape in different sectors.
- Work directly with the director of marketing to understand processes, audience, report formats, and deadlines.
- Create content for industry market briefs, market maps, and other research reports/presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (relevant graduate degree is a plus)
- 5+ years of experience as a research/technical writer for a business audience
- Previous experience in the market research, venture capital, or management consulting fields
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of a variety of frontier/climate technologies
- Market research and data analysis experience
- Strong working knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities while meeting tight deadlines
- Self-starter who works well independently
- Passionate about emerging technologies
- Candidates must submit a portfolio of existing work
