Where you’ll be:
Our digital first approach enables our teams the flexibility to work remotely. This role could be remote or in-office. We have offices in New York City, NY and Boston, MA.
What you’ll do: In this role you will have the opportunity to learn about digital banking products, financial services technology (FinTech), commercial lending opportunities, data analysis, financial modeling and start-up due diligence. You will also have the change to work cross-functionally with areas such as compliance, client services and operations.
The internship will run for at least 10 weeks with some flexibility around the start date. Our goal is to have you experience the operational aspects of the bank across multiple functions. Learning opportunities include:
- Focus on digital banking and related marketing and data analysis
- Introduction to the core concepts of banking
- Understanding the banking platform and associated technology systems.
- Onboarding customers, opening checking, term deposits and loan accounts
- Exploring regulations governing banking operations, including BSA, AML, etc.
- Understanding 3rd parties involved in banking operations (NACHA, Fedwire, OFAC, etc.)
- Work with BSA and Fraud Operations to build tools to combat emerging trends in fraud
- Leverage marketing technology to identify and analyze data related to lead generation, conversion, engagement, and attrition using marketing automation tools
What you need:
- At least 2 years of college coursework completed
- An analytic mind; the ability to draw conclusions from available information and present it cogently to others.
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Advanced competency regarding Microsoft Windows, Mac OS, and mobile platforms is preferred
