Accountant/Payroll/HR Analyst

Full- time M-F (Onsite 3 days a week, remote 2)

The Role
In this role, you will support the payroll function by accurately and timely processing multi-state payroll, assisting employees with payroll inquiries, and working cross- functionally to help drive efficiencies and optimization across teams. An ideal candidate has good attention to detail and can communicate well and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Accurately process multi-state, semi-monthly US Payroll and monthly Canada Payroll - inclusive of ad-hoc and equity runs.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records to ensure statutory compliance, and documenting and maintaining payroll SOPs.
- Assisting with the review and reconciliation of local, state, and federal taxes. Ensuring compliance with all statutory payroll tax regulations.
- Assisting with annual audits including 401k, Workers’ Comp, and W2s.
- Researching, analyzing, and resolving payroll discrepancies.
- Serve as the POC for US employee inquiries, including promptly responding to questions and requests.
- Identify and drive process improvements and payroll workflows.
What We Value
- 3+ years work experience in Payroll, Accountant and/or HR looking to transition into a payroll analyst role
- Interested in processing full-cycle, semi-monthly in-house US payroll or ability to learn quickly
- Experience with Workday for processing payroll or similar (ADP Workforce Now or Safeguard) or Accounting Software’s (Netsuite, Coupa etc)
- Must have experience working for a larger or Global company supporting high volume processing,
- Proficient in MS Excel including formulas functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables,)
- Excellent customer service; pleasant and positive attitude.
- Must have excellent work ethics, self-starter and hard working.
- Must have experience responding to US employee inquiries, including promptly responding to questions and requests.
- Bonus: Some experience or interest in learning high volume equity transactions or abiity to learn (NSO, RSU, ISO, ESPP) with multi-jurisdiction sourcing (daily equity runs)
- Knowledge of tax and wage laws or able to learn.
- Bonus: Multi- state payroll experience is a plus (Canada, etc.) or ability to learn
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; accuracy in work products and an ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
