Position Overview
We are seeking a proficient SQL Developer to contribute to our database development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in database design, SQL query writing, and database management. As an SQL Developer, you will be responsible for developing database structures, writing, and optimizing SQL queries, and ensuring data accuracy. Attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and effective communication skills are essential. Familiarity with database platforms such as MS SQL, MySQL, AWS, and Google Cloud, along with basic programming knowledge (e.g., PHP, Python, CSS, JavaScript), is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is also desired.
Essential Job Functions
- Design and implementation of complex database structures to support business needs.
- Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers for optimal performance.
- Implement and enforce data integrity and security measures.
- Utilize advanced techniques for query optimization, indexing, and database tuning to improve performance.
- Monitor database performance metrics and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee database management tasks, including backups, restores, and data migrations.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across multiple database platforms.
- Demonstrate expertise in database systems, including MS SQL Server, MySQL, and cloud-based services on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as PHP, Python, CSS, and JavaScript for database-related tasks and automation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and develop complex SQL queries for data analysis.
- Generate comprehensive reports and provide actionable insights based on data analysis.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as an SQL Developer or Database Developer, with a proven track record of delivering complex database solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL programming and database design principles.
- Extensive experience with database management systems such as MS SQL Server, MySQL, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of database performance optimization techniques and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
