We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to join our Quality Department. The Quality Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Position Qualifications/Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a quality engineer role in the manufacturing industry
- 3+ years of experience with GD&T inspection
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Inspection
- 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents
Prefered Skills
- 5+ years of experience with programming of Zeiss CMM & Keyence measurement systems
- 5+ years of experience with RCCAs, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical certification in a related field
- Knowledge of quality standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001 or other industry-specific certifications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality management software
- Physical activities include lifting of up to 50 pounds, standing, sitting, and transfer of product
CORE DUTIES
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes
- Analyze measurement data and generate reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Provide technical expertise and support for quality-related projects and initiatives
- Work with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive actions for quality issues, deviations, and non-conformances
- Support the maintenance of quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements, participating in problem-solving teams, and driving quality culture throughout the organization
- Assist in the training of production staff on quality control processes and procedures
- Participate in internal quality audits, providing support, and documentation
- Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in quality engineering
- Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
HOURS
- 1st shift
- Monday through Thursday, 7:00am – 5:30pm
Special Requirements
Candidates that accept an offer of employment will be required to pass a background and drug screen. Candidates must also meet ATF requirements for firearm possession.
