Responsibilities Infection Control Practitioner- Leadership Position
Days: Mostly Monday-Friday
Status: Full-Time & Salaried
Shift: Days but flex hours to meet the needs of staff working all shifts, both on weekdays and weekends as needed
The Infection Control Practitioner (ICP) oversees the infection control program for the facility and is responsible for conducting infection control rounds,annual infection control plan, identifying potential infection control issues, conducting staff education related to infection prevention, reviewing and updating Infection Control policies as needed and analyzing infection control data and making recommendations to ensure accordance with regulatory compliance.
The infection control practitioner maintains all reporting for internal and external agencies. The ICP will serve as the primary phlebotomist for the hospital.
Will provide oversight and supervision to the additional phlebotomy staff.
The ICP will be responsible for conducting tuberculosis screening, testing, and education as needed for all staff.
The ICP will oversee staff immunizations and the influenza program for the facility

Qualifications Requirements:
- Associate Degree or higher preferred
- RN preferably but will use a Licensed Practical Nurse within the State of Pennsylvania, required.
- Current APIC membership or willing to obtain.
- Certification in Infection Control or obtain within two (2) years of employment.
- Two (2) years in psychiatric nursing preferred. Supervisory experience preffered. Infection Control and/or employee health experience preffered.
- Competency with electronic healthcare systems, preferred.
