As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that products and services meet the established standards set by Rimidi and that the products are released by target dates with minimal to no defects (bugs). The QA automation engineer responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging and defining corrective actions. This also includes review of requirements, drafting QMS documentation and maintain risk log.
As a part of the QA team, this position will be responsible for designing and executing automated test scripts to streamline the testing process and increase efficiency as well as creating and implementing a strategy for quality coordination and testing. Ability to collaborate with teams across the organization, including development, client success and operations will be essential to success in this role
QA Automation Engineer Responsibilities:
• Maintain and enhance the existing automation scripts, tools to support ongoing testing efforts.
• Ability to identify root cause and troubleshoot issues independently with a proactive and resourceful mindset
• Test current products and identify deficiencies
• Develop detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases
• Identify and report issues found, then verify that issues are resolved
• Check consistency across devices, browsers and operating systems
• Analyze and clarify requirements with client success and development team to validate testing satisfies user needs
• Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction
• Perform risk assessments and maintain risk log
• Conduct exploratory testing and regression testing
Role requirements:
• 2+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or related field with a focus on web application testing
• Hands-on experience in testing APIs using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or REST Assured.
• Strong will to learn new technology and embrace automation testing (Selenium, Python)
• Solid understanding of project management, QA methodologies, tools and processes
• Ability to create comprehensive test plans and test cases, define testing strategies, locating and solving difficult bugs and errors
• Good communication and teamwork skills to interact with project team members, clients, and stakeholders as well as work closely with the development team - from reproducing the reported issues to understanding how the issue has been fixed
• Demonstrable problem solving, prioritization and organizational skills
• Programming skills in JavaScript and Python are always a plus as well as basic SQL knowledge to extract data for tests
• Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree in engineering, computer science or healthcare related field
