We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including data entry, timekeeping, and payroll processing for all employees.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes, and address any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
- Review and approve payroll reports, including payroll registers, tax filings, and year-end reports.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate employee data and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide support and guidance on payroll-related matters.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline payroll processes and implement process improvements as needed.
- Train and mentor payroll staff as needed and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure high-quality performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing procedures, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems, with experience using ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of effectively managing and developing a team.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
