What We Are Looking For
Do you love spreadsheets and getting into detail? As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing several aspects of our accounting operations, providing accurate financial information to management, and ensuring that all financial transactions are executed and documented in accordance with company policies and regulations. You will report to the Director of Finance & Accounting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the accounts receivable process, including invoicing and collections. Particular attention is needed in our collection efforts with insurance payers
- Manage the accounts payable function and ensure employee compliance with company credit card policy.
- Help with the monthly accounting close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts and assist with intercompany accounting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve financial systems
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to help management make key financial decisions about the business.
- Work with external auditors during financial and operational audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with accounting software, QuickBooks is preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare industry; experience working with insurance payers and medical claims is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
