We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to support our team. This role forms the IT function for the organisation and reports into our VP of Engineering for Infrastructure. You will be responsible for delivering IT support and management that contributes to the smooth operation of our business, contributing to a brilliant employee experience.
Responsibilities:
- User on-boarding and off-boarding
- Re-imaging and configuration of MacOS devices
- Partnering with our Mac leasing and trade-in provider to order any required devices
- Account set ups
- Providing IT introductions
- Liaising with managers and HR throughout this process
- Decommissioning users, hardware and managing the IT off-boarding process
- Administration of our primary IT systems, including:
- Google Workspace
- Slack
- Jira/Confluence
- Zoom
- Administration of various IT-level company systems and distributing account access and managing permission settings for them
- Meeting room AV management including the set up and management of the company All Hands AV
- Providing efficient and high quality software and hardware support to internal users
- Inventory management and restocking
- Maintaining the organization and tidiness of the IT server room
- Managing IT vendor relationships
- Management of our corporate Vodafone account, ordering and distribution of new iOS devices and managing mobile contract upgrades for end users
- Managing all physical assets and ensuring all employees are equipped with the assets required to deliver effectively
- Managing office printers
- Managing our IT insurance process and arranging hardware repairs with Apple Authorized service provider
- Arranging any required Mac upgrades and the trade in of end of line devices
Requirements:
- Experience providing IT support in a MacOS environment and working and resolving issues with Apple hardware
- A fast learner, who is able to use their own initiative to apply new learnings and solve problems
- Enjoys working and providing support independently and taking ownership of the IT function
- Passionate about contributing to a brilliant employee experience and contributing to a strong company culture
- Proactively identifies opportunities to improve our practices and drives forward these improvements
- Strong attention to detail, hard-working and diligent individual
- Discreet and reliable (you will be privy to confidential information in this role and it’s essential that high trust exists)
- Experience of using common IT admin tools, such as Google Workspace
- Good communication skills and able to interact with different stakeholders at all levels
- Adaptable and organized, with the ability to successfully juggle multiple and varied tasks throughout the course of the week
- Skilled at troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Capable of seeking solutions to a variety of technical problems
- Motivated to expand their knowledge base through training and learning on the fly
- Some experience managing vendor relationships
