You will be the administrative and technical lead on large-scale projects or manage multiple smaller ones, ensuring a seamless interface between our clients, project teams, and all stakeholders involved. Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional training and significant industry experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with ground-up construction projects, specifically within the academic sector such as colleges and universities.
- A minimum of 10 years of comprehensive experience in commercial construction, encompassing knowledge of design, finance, and project management.
- Demonstrated ability to implement innovative management techniques to enhance employee performance.
- Excellent communication skills, with a thorough understanding of industry practices and their implications on project activities. Business acumen and a professional approach are imperative.
- The role reports to the Vice President of Operations and requires decision-making that significantly affects client relationships and project profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in the construction process, ensuring compliance with design, budget, and schedule, and serving as the primary liaison with client and A/E representatives.
- Set project objectives and establish policies and procedures, maintaining high performance standards within the company’s framework.
- Direct on-site Superintendents, maintaining control over the construction’s progress to meet schedules and budgetary constraints; address critical issues proactively.
- Uphold all project-related policies and standards, interpreting them as needed to guide the team effectively.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, enforcing safety protocols, and guiding the planning, scheduling, and engineering functions.
- Oversee the financial aspects of contracts, balancing the company’s interests with maintaining a positive client relationship.
- Embrace additional responsibilities and contribute to regional management as required.
