As a Clinical Data Scientist, you'll be an integral part of our AI team while collaborating closely with Product and end-users to advance the frontier of medical language models. You'll use your deep EHR expertise to design and build information retrieval pipelines infused with domain knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Build & Optimize AI Pipelines: Work with large-scale EHR datasets on information retrieval and reasoning problems. Finetune language models, train other transformer-based models, design RAG pipelines and leverage traditional NLP methods where appropriate. Push forward the state of the art as a core part of the AI R&D team.
AI x Product Bridge: Leverage the feedback from end-users to optimize AI performance and design scalable approaches for continuous learning.
Partner Configuration & Monitoring: Characterize and onboard new partner datasets. Monitor system performance over time.
Research Leadership: Stay up-to-date with the latest research in clinical NLP and healthcare data science, and integrate best practices into ongoing projects.
Technical Expertise
Masters or PhD in Biomedical Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
2+ years of relevant work experience.
Strong familiarity with clinical NLP methods and healthcare ontologies such as ICD, CPT, LOINC, SNOMED.
Hands-on experience with LLMs and RAG pipelines.
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and machine learning libraries; ability to reproduce NLP/ML architectures in PyTorch.
