Description

Prescient Edge is seeking a Mid. Data Engineer to support a federal government client.

Benefits:

At Prescient Edge, we believe that acting with integrity and serving our employees is the key to everyone's success. To that end, we provide employees with a best-in-class benefits package that includes:

  • A competitive salary with performance bonus opportunities.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits, including medical, vision, dental, and orthodontia coverage.
  • A substantial retirement plan with no vesting schedule. Career development opportunities, including on-the-job training, tuition reimbursement, and networking.
  • A positive work environment where employees are respected, supported, and engaged.

Description:

  • Support for the CCJ2 Lakehouse Data Management platform and associated cloud applications and services.
  • Enhance the AI/ML Test & Integration compute space in the Top-Secret Cloud Computing Services (TC2S) environment.
  • The environment supports the ability to dynamically establish virtual workspaces where research and development can be done on AI/ML initiatives identified by the Government.
  • New tools must be integrated to be available for use. Furthermore, functionally identical capabilities must be implemented on the Secret Cloud Computing Services (SC2S) and Unclassified Cloud Computing Services (UC2S) environment.
  • Continue use and refinement of processes for USCENTCOM to effectively leverage the DevSecOps development tools available in DIA’s new Agile IL5 Delivery Environment (AIDE).
  • Continue to develop software enhancements to the USCENTCOM J2 Lakehouse Data Management Platform fielded during prior contracts.
  • Anticipated enhancements are the implementation of more granular access controls, the addition of an AI/ML processing module which is reusable to support different models, the addition of a standardized data visualization dashboard function, and full operational implementation of cross domain data transfer from NIPR to SIPR/JWICS.
  • Support new initiatives to develop domain specific UIs that enable operational elements to store data in the Lakehouse platform while simultaneously efficiently tagging/labeling data elements in accordance with new DOD and Intelligence Community (IC) standards.
  • Work with the CCJ2 Partner Engagement community to automatically tag and store historical data and develop cloud-based applications running on the Lakehouse platform to modernize ongoing operations. A key component of this task is the visualization of the data in a web-based dashboard.
  • Provide data science support for the implementation, testing and development of AI/ML processing models to be used with USCENTCOM data.
  • It is currently envisioned these models will be implemented in Jupyter Notebooks/Lab integrated into the Lakehouse platform.
  • Statistical analysis will be used to predict/verify the accuracy of the processing models.
  • Conduct evaluations of new modeling tools and techniques as they become available.
  • Support the implementation, security accreditation and administration of systems being fielded by USCENTCOM J2 in the UC2S, SC2S or TC2S cloud environments. These systems will not necessarily interact directly with the Lakehouse platform. Current examples include the USCENCOM J2 primary website (https://www.centcom.ic.gov) and the Virtual Joint Operations Center (VJOC) software maintained on the JWICS network by CCJ2. Web and SQL server management are critical.
  • Engineers will continually integrate additional AI/ML processes and management services into the CCJ2 Lakehouse platform to support streamlined operations, the development of enhanced data sets and the ability to share information on a global basis through the improved discoverability of data as the result of the implementation of the Lakehouse architecture
  • Data Engineers performing in the .NET Developer role will design, develop, and maintain server/client software in support of AI/ML Branch requirements.
  • Must produce code using languages and technologies of the Microsoft .NET framework.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL database systems in support of AI/ML Branch requirements.
  • Data Engineers performing in the Journeyman Database Administrator role will design, develop, and maintain SQL database systems in support of AI/ML Branch requirements.
