Senior Database / Data Warehouse / Data Analytics developer

We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on Senior Database/Data Warehouse Data Analytics developer to work at our Alpharetta, GA location. 

Ideal candidate will have solid software technology background with capability in the making and supporting of robust, secure, and multi-platform financial applications to contribute to the evolution of Wealth Management Risk platform. The successful candidate will be a proficient and productive developer, have good communication skills, and demonstrate ownership.

The Successful Candidate Should Have or Offer* 5+ Years of strong ETL (Informatica)/DWH design, design, and development experience.* Experience with Reporting/BI Tools (preferably BO), Data Analytics.* Strong Data Modeling skills- Enterprise Data Model (OLTP) and Dimensional modelling. Well versed with principles, techniques, and best practices of data modelling.* Strong Skills in MPP Database (preferably Teradata) including database design, performance tuning, writing complex DB programs etc.* Demonstrate proficient skills in analysis and resolution of application performance problems.* Very strong SQL skills in at least one DB technology i.e. Teradata or any other database like Oracle, UDB. Teradata skills are preferred* Full understanding of the processes of data quality, data cleansing and data transformation and data modeling* Ability to understand and analyze the data to find patterns and valuable Business Insights* Ability to write complicated yet efficient SQL queries and stored procedures* Experience with Hadoop Ecosystem is a plus.* Knowledge of different financial instruments like Equities, Options, Futures, etc. is a huge plus.

Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities* Produce service metrics, analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve the level of service and reduce cost as appropriate.* Responsible for design, development and maintenance of database schema and objects throughout the lifecycle of the applications.* Supporting implemented solutions by monitoring and tuning queries and data loads, addressing user questions concerning data integrity, monitoring performance and communicating functional and technical issues.* Helping the team by taking care of production releases.* Troubleshoot data issues and work with data providers for resolution* Closely work with business and applications teams in implementing the right design and solution for the business applications.* Build reporting solutions for Risk Management applicationsSkills Desired:* Exposure to Hadoop ecosystem.* Prior experience in financial firms is a huge plus*

Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
