The Data Engineering Delivery Manager will join forces with our BI and Data Engineering team to lead and support the development of large complex and exciting implementations. The successful candidate will be a person that can demonstrate critical thinking, ability to collaborate with teams onsite and remote (domestic and international), and have a mindset and eye for continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities 

  • Define the end-to-end technical solutions alongside with analyzing the current state and constraints.
  • Develop and improve support related processes and workflows and look for areas for Improvements.
  • Create and define the solution architecture for assigned program / and identifies technical issues and risks and defines mitigation approach.
  • Critical thinking and technical acumen and leadership right from the ideation stage of the project.
  • Works with a Team of onshore/offshore Developers, Architects, and business Analyst for defining the future state architecture & the interfaces.
  • Provides input, guidance, and direction for the development of project level solution architecture.
  • Develops the architecture artifacts and Technical Design flows and Documents.
  • Ability to lead/operate independently small to large group meetings for reviewing technical architecture, decision making and problem solving.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to business and technology partners and senior management/executives.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing technical projects and teams in EDW/BI space.
  • Hands on Experience in SQL.
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in implementing MDM solution.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office Suites
  • Good Interpersonal skills, Self-Starter and Motivated
  • Excellent communicator.

Preferred but not required  

  • 2+ years hands on experience with Snowflake on Azure
  • 4+ years with ETL tools such ADF, Talend, and Fivetran
  • Experience with Jira for project tracking
  • Experience in Insurance industry
