Data Governance & Analytics Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Data Governance & Analytics Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise data solutions. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, ensuring high-quality data management, governance, and analytics capabilities to support business objectives. You will work closely with key stakeholders to define data strategies, implement best practices, and enhance data quality and compliance.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership & Solution Delivery

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise data governance and analytics solutions.

• Define the scope and vision for data management initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

• Manage governance and quality assurance of data elements using Data Governance and Quality tools.

• Troubleshoot data engineering issues and optimize data solutions leveraging platforms such as Databricks.

Data Governance & Compliance

• Develop and implement best practices for data governance, metadata management, and quality assurance.

• Work closely with data stewards, owners, and SMEs to ensure adherence to governance policies.

• Administer data governance frameworks and processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Monitor data quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Technology Enablement & Implementation

• Strong understanding of Azure and Kubernetes to manage and optimize deployments.

• Hands-on experience with Collibra (preferred) to drive governance implementations.

• Implement and manage Data Quality dashboards, ensuring real-time visibility into data integrity.

• Provide thought leadership on data architecture, analytics, and governance best practices.

Training & Change Management

• Develop and deliver training programs to upskill teams on data governance, tools, and analytics.

• Support change management efforts to embed governance and analytics principles into the organization's culture.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise analytics roles.

• Proven experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks in enterprise environments.

• Strong knowledge of data governance tools (Collibra preferred), Azure, Kubernetes, and Databricks.

• Demonstrated ability to lead data strategy initiatives and work with cross-functional teams.

Skills and Competencies:

• Deep understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, and compliance standards.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot data engineering and governance challenges.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a consultative approach.

• Experience managing enterprise data projects and driving measurable improvements in data quality.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as CDMP, DAMA, or Collibra Ranger.
• Experience in designing data governance programs for large enterprises.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Tableau).
