The intern will work on a project aimed at enhancing the data quality of the SAP part number system using AI technologies. This involves analyzing and improving unstructured data, comparing it with supplier catalogs, and supporting the consumable buyer in negotiations. The goal is to reduce the data crunching time from one year to six months, resulting in significant time savings and a potential $120K contribution improvement.

The ideal candidate for this internship should have a strong analytical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work with large datasets. They should be comfortable with data analysis tools and have a basic understanding of procurement processes. Additionally, they should have experience with AI and machine learning techniques to enhance data quality. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with different departments are also essential.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and Experience with AI and machine learning tools such as Python, TensorFlow, or PyTorch are highly desirable.
• AI Skills: Hands-on experience deploying machine learning models, including classification, regression, clustering, and time-series forecasting
• High attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and quality
