Junior Data Scientist, Part-Time AI Evaluation - Remote (United States)
OpenTrain AI• $150–$200 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule
Review how AI answers data science and statistics problems on your own schedule, and write the prompts and reference solutions used to test it.
AI training is the human work behind artificial intelligence: experts read what a model produces, decide whether it is right, and write the feedback that makes the next version better. AI answers on statistics, machine learning and experimentation can look convincing while using a weak method or reaching an unsupported conclusion, so the teams building these systems need data scientists who can spot the flaw and explain clearly what a sound analysis looks like. This is part-time contract work done remotely on a flexible schedule.
What you'll do
• Judge AI-written answers on data science, statistics, machine learning, experimentation and quantitative questions
• Write prompts and datasets that test analytical and quantitative reasoning, with reference solutions for each
• Point out weak methods, statistical mistakes and unsupported conclusions in AI-generated work
• Explain technical and statistical problems in clear, structured written feedback
Why this is worth your time
• Earn $150–$200 an hour reviewing AI answers to data science and statistics problems
• Work on AI systems that answer statistics, machine learning and experimentation questions
• Apply your statistical judgment to prompts, reference solutions and structured feedback
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute
Who this is for
• One year or more of professional work at a leading technology, finance or research company, with some of it in the past three years
• A strong grasp of statistics, ML, experimentation and quantitative reasoning
• Able to tell whether an analytical method and its conclusions hold up technically
• Fluent written English
• Helpful background includes data analysis, data modeling, Python, Pandas, or related quantitative workflows.
• No experience in AI training work needed. You bring the expertise; your judgment helps improve AI models.
Pay and details
• $150–$200 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Part-time, flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
