This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing data engineering team within a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. As Manager, Data Engineer, you will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights, optimize analytics infrastructure, and support innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience. This position emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and strategic planning, offering the chance to shape the data engineering function and influence key business outcomes. You will work with cutting-edge tools and cloud technologies, driving modernization and adoption of best practices across the department.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable ETL pipelines and data systems.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy, security, and integrity across all platforms and workflows.
  • Implement best practices in data engineering, monitoring performance, and optimizing infrastructure.
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the data engineering team.
  • Drive innovation and process improvement to support operational efficiency and business objectives.


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or similar role, with team leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL, Python, Snowflake, and cloud platforms (preferably Azure).
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Apps.
  • In-depth knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred: experience in the insurance or auto insurance sector, and familiarity with claims systems and processes.
