$60 - $120 USD hourly

• $60–$120 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task

• 100% remote

• Part-time

• About 15 hours a week, you choose when

Build, solve and check mechanical engineering problems on your own schedule and help AI systems reason better about physical design.

AI training is the human work behind artificial intelligence: experts read what a model produces, decide whether it is right, and write the feedback that makes the next version better. AI systems that work on engineering problems need mechanical engineers who can turn physical systems into sound models and simulations, and who can tell whether an analysis truly meets its design requirements. This is that work, done remotely around your schedule.

What you'll do

• Build analytical or computational models from engineering requirements and physical systems, including geometry and meshes

• Set up materials, loads, contacts, boundary conditions, constraints and solver inputs, then run simulations and assess the results

• Solve and check structural, thermal, mechanical and multiphysics problems across design, analysis, testing and R&D

• Write rigorous engineering tasks and review solutions for technical accuracy against the stated requirements

Why this is worth your time

• Earn $60–$120 an hour equivalent while building real AI skills

• Work on AI systems learning to model, simulate and solve real engineering problems with Python and coding agents

• Apply your mechanical engineering judgment to models, simulations and solution review

• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute

Who this is for

• Fluent in English

• A master's or PhD in mechanical engineering or a closely related field of engineering, or strong applied-mechanics and mechanical-engineering fundamentals

• Experience building analytical, computational or simulation-based solutions to engineering problems

• Practical skill working with coding agents

• Working knowledge of Python for solving engineering problems

• No AI experience needed.

Pay and details

• $60–$120 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor

• Part-time, flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
