The Reinsurance Data Engineering & Reporting Lead is a pivotal role, crucial for the technical integrity and operational efficiency of our data engineering. We're looking for someone with a strong grasp of data engineering, especially in reinsurance, to lead the development, review, and deployment of complex reporting solutions.
10+ years of hands-on experience delivering enterprise data and analytics solutions.
8+ years of expertise with Azure data services, including Azure Databricks, ADLS (Azure Data Lake Storage), and Azure Synapse.
5+ years of experience supporting Power BI as an enterprise reporting platform.
5+ years within the reinsurance domain or strong Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience.
Familiarity with industry-specific data, metrics, and reporting expectations within re/insurance is a must.
Proven ability to design and implement data models (e.g., star schema, tabular models) for reporting and business intelligence, enabling self-service analytics for business users via Databricks and Power BI.
Demonstrated capability to review and approve technical solutions, ensuring adherence to standards and optimal performance, with a deep understanding of Power BI and DAX.
Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with business stakeholders (including senior management) and external teams within Guy Carpenter (GC Tech).

Oversee the entire lifecycle of complex reporting solutions, from initial requirements gathering to development, rigorous review, and seamless deployment.
