Global Property & Casualty Provider seeks an experienced Senior Data Engineer with a strong technical background and deep understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance data. In this role, you will lead the design and development of scalable data solutions that serve as the foundation for enterprise analytics and decision-making. You will help establish a single source of truth in our data lakehouse and deliver powerful data visualizations that enable stakeholders to uncover insights and take action.

As a senior leader within the data engineering team, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing complex data pipelines, modeling high-quality data sets, and applying data engineering best practices. You’ll also mentor other team members and help define our long-term data strategy.


Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement end-to-end data pipelines, from ingestion to transformation, storage, and consumption.

  • Build and maintain reliable, analysis-ready data infrastructure supporting scalable business intelligence and analytics.

  • Apply modern data modeling techniques to support downstream reporting and analytical use cases.

  • Ensure high-quality data delivery by validating and testing at each stage of the pipeline.

  • Drive adoption of engineering best practices, including CI/CD, code reviews, and version control.

  • Take ownership of key data engineering initiatives and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Partner with analysts and business stakeholders to develop and refine reporting solutions and dashboards using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

  • Perform exploratory analysis to uncover patterns and trends that support strategic decisions.

  • Deliver clear, actionable insights that tie data to real business problems and opportunities.

  • Leverage knowledge of P&C insurance data (e.g., policies, claims, underwriting) to guide data modeling and transformation efforts.

  • Translate insurance concepts into accurate and meaningful metrics.

  • Experience with insurance platforms such as Guidewire is a plus

  • Perform exploratory analysis, identify trends and patterns and draw conclusions from data sets

  • Extract complex data from multiple sources into usable and meaningful reports and analysis


Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, business administration, statistics, computer science, or related field preferred.Β 

  • 10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, BI Analyst or equivalent work experience

  • Property and Casualty Insurance Experience Required

  • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and models

  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation

  • Proficiency in data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes

  • Experience working with Azure cloud (ADF, ADLS, Data Fabric, etc.)

  • Experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau

  • Knowledge of database architectures and data modeling

  • ​Familiar with software engineering practices such as version control with Git, Testing, and CI/CD
