Requirements
We are
seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to lead and innovate
within our growing data science team. This role requires a blend of technical
expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership to design, implement, and
optimize complex machine learning models and data-driven solutions. You
will drive impactful data science initiatives, manage ambiguity, and lead
projects of moderate-to-high complexity while influencing technical decisions
and business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design,
develop, and optimize advanced machine learning models and AI-driven
solutions to solve complex business problems.
- Lead moderately
complex data science projects with minimal direction, navigating
ambiguity while ensuring scalable and impactful outcomes.
- Provide technical
leadership, mentoring junior and mid-level data scientists while
fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Develop high-quality,
maintainable, and scalable code in at least one programming language
(Python, R, Scala, or similar).
- Contribute
to technical roadmaps, product features, and strategic initiatives,
ensuring alignment with business and technical goals.
- Design
and implement complex, scalable, and maintainable data architectures,
utilizing appropriate big data technologies and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Troubleshoot
and debug complex distributed systems and machine learning models,
ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Strategically
approach complex challenges, making decisions that align with
long-term business objectives and fiscal responsibility.
- Drive
cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, and business
teams, ensuring seamless integration of AI solutions.
- Influence
the technical direction of projects across teams and domains,
advocating for best practices and innovative approaches.
- Champion
a positive team culture, proactively managing expectations,
resolving conflicts, and fostering an inclusive and growth-oriented
environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s,
Master’s, or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or
a related field.
- 7-10
years of experience in data science, AI/ML, or advanced analytics with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.
- Mastery
in at least one programming language (Python, R, Scala, or
similar), with strong coding skills to handle complex challenges.
- Expertise
in machine learning, deep learning, statistical modeling, and AI
techniques.
- Proficiency
in software engineering best practices, including version control
(Git), testing, and CI/CD.
- Experience
with big data tools (Spark, Hadoop), cloud platforms (AWS,
Azure, GCP), and MLOps frameworks.
- Strong
background in data pipelines, feature engineering, and model deployment
at scale.
- Ability
to navigate ambiguity and evolving business needs, ensuring AI
solutions remain adaptable and relevant.
- Proven
track record of leading small teams and managing projects of
moderate-to-high complexity.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing technical and business
stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills
- Experience
with NLP, reinforcement learning, or time-series forecasting.
- Knowledge
of edge AI, federated learning, or AI ethics.
- Familiarity
with graph databases, Bayesian methods, or probabilistic programming.
- Experience
in automating and optimizing AI/ML workflows with tools like
MLflow, Kubeflow, or TensorFlow Extended (TFX).
