• $65–$123 per hour

• 100% remote

• Part-time

• Fully flexible schedule

Build and assess mechanical CAD models, describe your design process, and prepare straightforward instructions for AI training tasks.

AI companies need mechanical designers to test and correct their systems on real mechanical design work. Use SolidWorks to build and revise 3D CAD representations of parts and assemblies, turn technical requirements into designs, and apply parametric modeling with feature trees. Check models for dimensions, tolerances, manufacturability and production accuracy, then walk through SolidWorks workflows and prepare task instructions and prompts. This is that work, done remotely around your schedule.

What you'll do

• Build and revise SolidWorks 3D CAD models for parts and assemblies

• Turn technical requirements into mechanical designs and check their manufacturing accuracy

• Handle advanced SolidWorks work and describe the steps in each workflow

• Prepare task directions and prompts that cover mechanical design work

Why this is worth your time

• Get paid $65–$123 an hour

• Apply SolidWorks to design checks and CAD review assignments

• Work through advanced SolidWorks assignments while describing the workflow in clear terms

• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute

Who this is for

• Experience creating mechanical assemblies with SolidWorks and 3D parametric CAD modeling

• Mechanical design experience with GD&T and manufacturing processes

• B2 level or higher in English, clear technical communication, and access to SolidWorks with screen recording

• No AI experience needed. Experience with AI or large language model evaluation is helpful, not required.

Pay and details

• $65–$123 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor

• Part-time, flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
