Description

We’re seeking a highly skilled and execution-driven Video Editor + Social Media Manager to support the rapid growth of the CG Podcast and Collective Genius content ecosystem. This role requires both creative editing expertise and social media savvy. You will be responsible for turning long-form podcast episodes and event footage into dynamic content that drives engagement, conversions, and brand authority across platforms.Β 


Video Editing & Podcast Production

  • Create dynamic intro/outro graphics, including multiple variations of call-to-actions and personalized episode intros
  • Design and implement overlay graphics for video podcasts and social media clips
  • Edit multi-angle video podcast episodes (LIVE, standard, and bonus), integrating intros, outros, overlays, and transitions
  • Chapterize and optimize episodes for YouTube
  • Write compelling episode descriptions
  • Create a repeatable editing template/process

Audio Editing

  • Edit audio versions of all CG Podcast formats for platform distribution

Content Creation & Repurposing

  • Create shorts/reels from:
    • Podcast episodes
    • Event footage and presentations
    • Client-provided clips or b-roll
  • Repurpose podcast and video content into LinkedIn-optimized posts for the CG CEO (different branding + tailored messaging)
  • Edit key event presentations to support email marketing campaigns with value-add overlays and dynamic intros/outros

Publishing & Distribution

  • Post shorts and reels across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok
  • Distribute full podcast episodes to YouTube and audio platforms using syndication software (e.g., Libsyn, Buzzsprout)
  • Upload videos to Wistia and select/post thumbnails
  • Create and organize custom thumbnails for video and social media assets

Automation & Optimization

  • Use A.I. tools to generate captions, write copy, and improve publishing workflows

Collaboration & Communication

  • Align closely with the Director of Marketing to prioritize content calendar
  • Ensure brand tone, visual identity, and messaging are consistent across platforms
  • Track content performance and engagement across social channels and provide optimization suggestions


Requirements
  • Strong portfolio in podcast editing, YouTube content, and social-first short-form video
  • Proficient in Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, or DaVinci Resolve
  • Familiar with CapCut, Descript, Canva, or AI tools for content scaling
  • Hands-on experience with Wistia, YouTube Studio, and podcast distribution tools
  • Deep understanding of social media best practices for engagement and visibility
  • Proactive, process-oriented, and comfortable owning the entire content lifecycle
  • Bonus: Experience with LinkedIn B2B content, email marketing, or event content packaging
