Your Role: What You’ll Be Doing & What You Need to Succeed
We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy in close collaboration with the IT Director and the Enterprise Systems and Solutions Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing data integration efforts, ensuring that all data initiatives align with organizational objectives, and designing scalable, efficient data models. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Azure and other modern data platforms to support enterprise-wide data architecture and governance.
What You'll Be Doing:
Data Strategy Development
- Collaborate with IT leadership to formulate a robust data strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Define data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Data Integration and Management
- Oversee the integration of data across various systems and platforms.
- Ensure data consistency, quality, and accessibility throughout the organization.
Data Modeling
- Design and implement logical and physical data models to meet business requirements.
- Utilize Azure services and other tools to develop scalable data solutions.
Data Governance and Compliance
- Establish data governance frameworks and policies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide effective solutions.
- Mentor and guide team members on data architecture and best practices.
Technology Evaluation and Implementation
- Stay updated on emerging data technologies and trends.
- Recommend and implement new tools and technologies to enhance data architecture.
Performance Optimization
- Monitor and optimize data systems for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Architect or 6+ years in a high-level data role.
- Strong proficiency with Azure data services and cloud-based data solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
- Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead initiatives.
