Data Governance Subject Matter Expert

The Data Governance SME provides specialized expertise in governance policies, stewardship, metadata management, and compliance. This role leads the assessment of the client's current governance practices and develops frameworks that ensure the client’s data is well-classified, auditable, and aligned with regulatory expectations.

As a Data Governance SME, You Will:

• Conduct a governance-focused current state assessment of PCAOB’s data processes.
• Design and recommend policies for data quality, retention, privacy, classification, and access.
• Define stewardship roles, responsibilities, and operating models.
• Implement metadata standards and support catalog development.
• Map governance frameworks to external regulations (e.g., SOX, SEC oversight).
• Support feasibility validation of governance use cases and prototypes.

To Be Successful, You Need:

• Permanent Residency or US Citizenship 
• 8+ years of data governance experience in financial, audit, or compliance-driven environments.
• DAMA CDMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• Experience developing and implementing enterprise data governance programs.
• Strong understanding of metadata management tools and practices.
• Ability to bridge regulatory, business, and technical perspectives.

Desired Skills (Plus Points):

• Familiarity with Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) audit requirements and FedRAMP/FISMA controls.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
