Job Title: Data Scientist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Data Scientist to join our dynamic team focused on healthcare revenue cycle management. This individual will play a crucial role in forensic financial analysis, helping drive operational and financial insights that impact both our business and clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of healthcare accounting, expert analytical skills, and proficiency in advanced data visualization and dashboarding. Responsibilities:

  • Forensic Financial Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analysis into healthcare revenue cycle financials to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for operational and financial improvement.
  • Data Manipulation & Analytics: Utilize SQL, Python, and other tools to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from various healthcare systems.
  • AI & Machine Learning: Design and implement models to support predictive analytics and intelligent automation within the revenue cycle.
  • Data Visualization: Build and maintain interactive and dynamic dashboards using Power BI, translating complex data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Tool Proficiency:
  • Work with platforms such as Databricks for large-scale data processing.
  • Leverage tools like Excel, Smartsheet, Jupyter Notebooks, and Github.
  • Capable of developing ad hoc RPA scripts to extract and structure external data sources
  • Understand and apply storyboarding techniques to enhance stakeholder communication beyond traditional dashboards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage cross-functionally to gather business requirements and ensure that analytical solutions align with strategic goals. Communicate findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a data scientist role with a focus on healthcare revenue cycle financials.
  • Proven expertise in SQL, Python, and advanced data visualization tools (Power BI).
  • Experience with Databricks or similar cloud-based big data tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of Machine Learning and AI techniques.
  • Familiarity with Excel, Smartsheet, Jupyter Notebooks, and GitHub.
  • Exceptional analytical, written and verbal communication skills with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Must be dedicated solely to this role: candidates with other primary job commitments will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for task tracking and documentation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services environments.
