We are seeking a Senior Data Architect to drive enterprise-wide data strategy, design, and implementation across complex operational and analytical environments. In this role, you will define reference architectures, establish consistent data standards, and create innovative solutions for cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, and warehouses. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure best practices are applied in data platform development, data migration, and analytics projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, translating business requirements into scalable, high-performance data architectures that empower decision-making and AI/ML initiatives.
Accountabilities
- Define and implement enterprise data architecture, including OLTP, OLAP, MDM, and AI/ML technologies.
- Establish data standards, reference architectures, patterns, and best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with agile teams to ensure data platform development adheres to established architectural principles.
- Design, develop, and optimize data solutions for analytics projects, data migration, and enterprise applications.
- Create and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for operational and analytical systems.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, cataloging, and governance are integrated into all solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex data-related issues and provide solutions for performance, scalability, and high availability.
- Provide guidance on database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL, for cloud-native and on-premise environments.
- Communicate the value and strategy of data architecture to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements - 10+ years of experience in information technology, with 7–10 years as a data architect.
- 5–10 years of experience in enterprise data architecture, data modeling, data management, and strategy.
- 5–7 years of experience with cloud database technologies.
- Expertise in designing ER, logical, physical, and conceptual data models for enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in batch and streaming data ingestion, data lakes, data warehouses, and analytics platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, Azure Data Platform, Databricks, ETL processes, and MDM.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, lineage, and cataloging frameworks.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Qlik.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: Azure or cloud certifications, Kubernetes, cloud-native ecosystem experience, Informatica IICS, and knowledge of agency management systems.
