The opportunity
A Video Editor at TechnologyAdvice ensure the highest quality of video content across our portfolio, supporting our business objectives and enhancing product visibility. They manage client-driven video projects, sponsored social media video requests and internal content creation for our YouTube channels.
Video content created by our editors serves multiple strategic goals, including driving targeted traffic to our websites and aligning viewer actions with specific outcomes such as newsletter sign-ups, affiliate clicks, and product demonstrations. They also promote our products, services, and those of our partners and clients through compelling visual storytelling.
Collaborating closely with a Video Content Specialist, the Video Editor executes a wide range of creative tasks in video production. This includes precise audio and video editing, sourcing supplementary footage, and enhancing visual impact with minor motion graphics.

What you'll do
- Plan, execute, and report on video projects that support TechnologyAdvice’s portfolio of properties and videos from outside clients.
- Edit and enhance video content to meet the high-quality standards of TechnologyAdvice.
- Create compelling and visually appealing animations using After Effects.
- Collaborate with the Video Content Team to execute creative tasks throughout the video production process.
- Ensure seamless integration of audio and video elements during editing.
- Provide guidance to content, sales, HR, audience development, and other departments on viewer experience, format, production quality, and branding consistency.
- Maintain smooth and efficient production processes through the use of project management software, proactively identifying and resolving roadblocks and task dependencies.
Who you are
- Minimum 3+ years of long-form and short-form video editing experience.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro and After Effects; familiar with Adobe Audition.
- Graphic design skills to enhance visual content and ensure consistency.
- Strong creativity, problem-solving, time management, and planning abilities for handling multiple projects.
- High initiative, accountability, organization, and effective communication skills.
- Must have a working laptop/pc and internet and back-up connection
- Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward
