JOB DUTIES
Lead project requirements gathering/analysis, ETL framework and common modules design and development; develop complex ETL Talend Joblets, Common/Reusable modules using Talend components; create generic schemas and context groups in Talend Repository for each source input and output files/tables based on data model; develop ETL Talend Jobs to extract, transform and load the data from heterogenous sources to Snowflake data warehouse; build ETL Talend jobs to perform data integration and data cleansing; create Snowflake SQL scripts, Stored Procedure, Views, Materialized views to load the data to different layers in data warehouse; integrate all Talend jobs, Joblets and Snowflake SQL scripts to build common ETL framework and publish them to Artifact Nexus Repository Manager; execute/troubleshoot production ETL jobs using Talend Administration Console functionalities; migrate the codes, tasks, execution plans and scripts from one environment to another manually or using UNIX scripts; write Shell scripts for UNIX/LINUX operating system and batch scripts for Windows operating system to automate file management; develop ETL framework for exception/error-handling and automate email notifications; lead unit testing, integration testing using Snowflake Snowsight to ensure the data loaded satisfies client requirements; perform performance tuning of SQL queries to enhance performance and reduce resource consumption; fix high priority issues in QA and PROD and manage and maintain ETL jobs and Snowflake scripts; create user documentation, technical design, source to target mapping documents; lead and mentor a team of data engineers, provide guidance, support, and feedback to ensure their professional growth; enforce data engineering standards, conduct code review to ensure compliance and best practices; conduct regular performance reviews with direct reports, provide constructive feedback, set performance goals, and identify areas for skill development; align team goals with overall business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as an ETL Developer, Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years with data analysis, data warehouse, ETL development, using any ETL tool such as DataStage, Informatica, or Talend, and writing complex SQL queries on relational databases such as Teradata, Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake; and 2 years in ETL coding using Talend Studio or Talend Enterprise, and Talend Administration Center. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
RATE OF PAY: $165,000 to $175,000 per year.

Actual base pay for a successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to: experience/training, market demands, and geographic location.
